For most, the pressure of work seems overwhelming and obvious, less time to actually do much after working hours, constantly on a boring daily routine which could truncate a man's life span.
Many find it quite difficult being able to manage stress, most especially if you work under an inhumane boss who's always self centered.
In many cases, effective management of stress requires money being spent, and this has been a bane for lots of individual encountering work stress, and there's also the case of being married to a stress giver 😪 PHEW!
There are various ways stress could be managed without necessarily spending, I would be sharing this methods especially cash wise methods in cooling off after a stressful day or during a stressful work routine.
1. SPA TREATMENT
Your body would literally thank you for this treatment once in a while to help it heal off every bit of energy that's been scrapped off, it would be requiring fund or you might be lucky to have a partner who's good at it and willing to assist.
I usually would recommend deep tissue massage cause it revives down to the deepest part of the inner body and would make you feel generally light afterwards, could put you to sleep after the massage while your body works rejuvenating wonders.
2. RELAXATION SPOT
You would feel your tension and worries ease off when you unwind often, especially after working hours.
Could be with friends or just enjoying your own company at a nice spot with beautiful scenery, cool music and something to chew as well as drink.
At this point you could also put a call across to your close friend, a video call might be quite effective, talking about everything and anything, also talking about issues and letting it off your chest at the moment, which in some cases that period might be of help in drawing up solutions or getting comfort.
3. UNCLUTTERED DESK
It is always better to attend to tasks as they come, in order not to clutter your desk with numerous partly done jobs. This would help give a clear head to think right and attend to other issues rather than being fizzled out by the sight of a heaped work or files requiring your attention.
This act is a major stress reliever!
4. TAKING BREAKS
There's no law that says you can't take some time off while working, provided you get the job done at the final minute. When you need to pause for a moment, refresh your thinking, and regain some energy, it always good to relax off for the time being with a walk away from the work or having a nap.
This could be during your lunch break or at a different time entirely, it shouldn't be longer than necessary, except you have an underlying ailment. Taking breaks could help avoid building blood pressure related to stress.
5. TIME CONSCIOUSNESS
It is to your advantage that you make every time count, and not just living in every moment as it comes. Making the most out of your free periods after work is as essential as making conscious effort of your working time, because a moment spent can never be regained and if you've spent it half-hazardly, you would pay dearly for it.
Avoid procrastinating what you've scheduled for a certain o'clock, and don't skip resting when it's essential, especially at night hours.
6. EXERCISE
Exercise rightly done connects the body and soul, giving you that complete inner energy to break through difficult encounterings. In very many ways, aside the health benefits attached to bodily exercise, it sure boosts confidence, aligns your charisma and promotes physical strength.
All these three (3) aspects categorises into a well balanced mental health which is beneficial in mitigating stress level or helping you cope through it.
7. HOLIDAY TRIPS
This aspect is quite dear as it requires lots of planning, proper mental calculations and funding, but could be very well achieved with the right budget plan. Taking vacations once a while would help your mental health, when you jet far from all immediate stress into a different scenery to think properly, as well as explore a new environment, people and culture.
It is usually better if the places visited has no bearing to your work and worries, somewhere with lots of surprises that takes your mind aloof for the moment, off the stress, making good memories at that instant.
8. HEALTHY MEAL PLAN
Eating right just has so much importance as every other mentioned aspect in mitigating your stress level; you can't be having a coffee when you need to sleep, ingesting sugar when your blood sugar level is high or taking carbs when managing your blood pressure.
It's important to have a meal plan, understand the amount of calories required for your body daily and know types of food to avoid. A good meal would make your day very productive and reduce complications related to food poisoning.
9. HAVE A PRAYERFUL LIFE
In all that has been said, one very aspect that tops it all, is a spiritual life. There's a deep level of peace that abounds within the presence of God, especially when you connect worries to him through prayer.
There's a phrase that "the spirit world controls the physical", which is ultimately true, and if you are found lacking in this aspect, all your hardwork would mostly be fruitless as you lack a spiritual path, so you are mostly revolving within a circle with all your physical strength and smartness.
Always bring God to everything you do, and if it stresses your life so much, you can as well ask for strength or a change to something more peaceful, but don't start and end any day without praying.
